Professor Wei R. Chen Organizes Immunophotonics Session at Gordan Research Conference

Immunophotonics is excited to share that Wei Chen, co-inventor of IP-001, Stephenson Chair, professor and interim director of the Stephenson School of Biomedical Engineering and his team recently organized a session titled “Immunophotonics” for the Gordon Research Conference Optics and Photonics in Medicine and Biology in Lewiston, Maine. During this session, Professor Chen delivered an oral presentation on “Localized Immunophotonics for the Treatment of Metastatic Cancers”.

The session was chaired by esteemed researcher, Dr. Tayyaba Hasan from Massachusetts General/Harvard Medical School. It is an exciting opportunity for Immunophotonics to participate in this respected international forum. It allows us to showcase and discuss how IP-001 is pioneering the novel approach of having interventional radiologists take a routine tumor-ablation procedure and “Abscopalize It®” through the concurrent injection of an immunoadjuvant.
