Mr. Zubizarreta joined Immunophotonics as an investor and Director, bringing decades of executive leadership experience and strategic insight to the board. He is a visionary technology entrepreneur and business leader with a distinguished track record of building and scaling innovative companies across enterprise software, information management, and biotechnology.

Mr. Zubizarreta holds a bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering from Case Western Reserve University and has completed executive education programs at Harvard Business School. He is widely recognized for his expertise in enterprise content management (ECM), digital transformation, and the development of high-growth technology organizations.

Drawing on his expertise in building and growing successful companies, the Board appointed Mr. Zubizarreta as Interim Chief Executive Officer in September 2025. Over the next twelve months, he provided leadership through a crucial phase of the company’s clinical, operational and strategic development, supporting the advancement of IP-001 through clinical trials and the company’s long-term growth objectives.

Mr. Zubizarreta continues to serve on the Board of Directors, where he contributes valuable guidance on corporate strategy, business development, capital raise, and organizational growth opportunities. His unique combination of technical expertise, operational discipline, and entrepreneurial vision provides an important perspective as the company advances toward strategic value creation.
